To be, or not to be...that is the question
We've all seen cats and dogs with the 'lampshade' collars that vets use to prevent them from gnawing at wounds after surgery but have you ever seen one on a bird? Well we've been pet sitting for a cheeky little fella called Squeaky who has had this honour bestowed upon him....oh bless.Squeaky who's 11 lives in a big cage with another Cockatiel, he's been pecking himself silly at a skin wound and to prevent this the vet made him his very own tiny collar, to give the wound a chance to heal . It didn't seem to bother him at all and even his feathery companion didn't seem to notice. It caused quite a few chuckles in the pet shop which I think embarrassed him because I could have sworn blind his cheeks went red!
